Celebrating the maturity and the 60th anniversary of the soloist of the band Edvīns Zariņš, music band “DAKOTA” heads to their listeners with a remarkable concert tour all across Latvia.
Singer, guitar player and a songwriter Edvīns Zariņš became famous while playing in the music band of Bausa city “Dālderi” and now is a leader of music band “DAKOTA” already 18 years in a row, while being on the stage more than forty years all together. The band has released three legendary albums, but in honor of the anniversary with the first concerts, the new jubilee album will be released and ready to get to their listeners.
The name of the jubilee album of the music band „DAKOTA” and the anniversary concert of Edvīns Zariņš has a symbolic title – “MANA SPĒLE” (“MY GAME”).
“You can win and lose in the game. I am very fortunate in this game. I am lucky to see “Bagātību sala”, “Mana mīļā”, walk on the “Muzikantu iela” and “Piena ceļš”, as well as light up “Kurtizāņu ugunskurs”, because the lyrics and music is the greatest win of my life.” – says the hero of the anniversary Edvīns Zariņš. The jubilee concert in its deepest meaning will be a game, since many musicians will appear at the concert to greet him with the 60th anniversary.
During the first part of the concert, visitors were able to hear the songs from the new album of the band “DAKOTA”, as well as we will cheer together with the audience to the compositions of legendary music band “Dālderi”: „Dzeltenie aizkari”, „Džokonda”, and songs from the musical „Nāc pie puikām”. The second part of the concert revealed the golden repertoire of “DAKOTA”: „Kurtizāņu ugunskurs”, „Vakariņas5-atā”, „Aizej tad, kad snigs”, „Muzikants”, „Naktstauriņu karnevāls”, „Viss vēl būs”, „Padsmitnieku laiks” and other the most popular singles of the band.
