Solo concert of harpsichordist will reveal the melodies of the compositions by J.S. Bach.
The interest in the harpsichord play aroused when Ieva Saliete was studying at the harpsichord class of Aina Kalnciema at the Latvian Academy of Music. The studies of historic keyboards at the class of Robert Hill at the University of Music Freiburg followed as well as additional chamber music courses and basso continuo at “Schola Cantorum” in Basel. From the year of 1996 to 2010, Ieva has lived as a freelance artist in Freiburg where she has concertized in the leading orchestras of early music in Europe – in Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, “Ensemble 415”, Basel Chamber Orchestra, and others. The creations of the composer Gottfried Mutel who has live in Riga for a while is the most favorite of her to be played together with “Kesselberg Ensemble” in Latvia, Germany, and Switzerland.
Currently Ieva Saliete is residing in Latvia where she performs in baroque music projects in collaboration with orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga”. She performs solo and as a member of chamber music projects in Germany and Switzerland.
