Laura Bicāne is a Latvian performer who became familiar to a larger audience by the participation in the national semifinal for the Eurovision in 2012. At that time, she was performing with the song „Freakin’Out”.
Laura sings since her childhood. She has studied the accordion play at the music school, but after learning how to play a guitar, exactly the composing became her hobby.
Laura`s debut album „Es tikai ļaujūs” was released in 2013. It contained the compositions in various languages. After almost one and a half year, she offers her second albums “Trīspuksti”.
The songs with the haiku by the poetess Egita Terēze Jonāne are the ones that make this album „Trīspuksti” very special. Laura herself says the following: “Egita has written three line poems that involve the melody. I had an opportunity to reveal the implicated thread of music. Egita`s poetry is sincere and genuine and the same are these songs.”
There is a very special song in Latgalian included in this album – the song that Laura has composed in honor of her sister`s wedding. At the concert, Laura will sing this song together with tenor Jānis Kerševs.
The well-known musicians as Artis Orubs, Ieva Supjeva, Liene Dravniece, Norberts Skraucis, Kārlis Indrišonoks and others will perform in this concert as well.
