On January 21, in the Small Hall of the Embassy of Latgale GORS, the event under the exhibit of Latvian Bank “Money Design. PIN Code” was organized – the meeting with one of the exhibits` artists – Henrihs Vorkals.
The meeting organized in Rezekne is very special to the artist himself as well. As H.Vorkals expressed, the conversation about his creative works of this scale take the place for the first time. During the meeting, the artist introduced everyone with his creative activities, starting from the textile works created during the time of his studies, to the works of interior and architecture design. He touched the topic of Latvian money design with a reason – he had an opportunity to create the graphic design of four lats collector coins, one 1 lats circulation coin (“Čiekurs”/ “Cone”), as well as the first 2 euro collector coin (“Rīga- the European Capital of 2014” emitted by Latvian Bank.
Meeting with Henrihs Vorkals was enriched with an attendance and comments about his creative works by his study mate art historian Jānis Borgs. The event was well attended by the people interested in arts, as well as by the students of Rēzekne education institutions of arts and design.
