The concert was hosted by the fashion expert, TV presenter and style icon Maya Silova (Latvia) and the famous showman Valdis Pelsh (Russia). The festival was opened by chairman of Rezekne City Council Alexander Bartashevich, chairman of the International Organizing Committee of the festival Sergey Novozhilov (Russia), and honorary president of the festival Ivars Kalnins (Latvia).
The concert began with a musical program "Golden Moments of Latvian and foreign film music" performed by a group «Cello Dream Team» of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (cello Diana Ozolinja, Ieva Upatniece Lolita Lilje, Mareta Prikule, Dace Zālīte, Zane Gulane, Janis Rinkulis, Ainars Pauksens, and percussionist Ugis Kruskops). Their performance featured "Fantasies on music of Latvian films" by J.Ivanovs, R.Pauls, S.Zake, as well as music from the films "Schindler's List," "Mission Impossible", "James Bond", and other tunes that have conquered the hearts of moviegoers around the world.
In the second part of the event, presentation of the competition films and musical performances by the festival guests took place. Theatre and film actors Ivars Kalnins, Arnis Licitis, Edijs Zalaks, Zinaida Kiriyenko, Irina Medvedeva, Sergei Varchuk, Dmitry Tikhonov, Marina Yakovleva Svetlana Kryuchkova performed for the audience.
