Music band „Otra puse” has received the Music Record Award for the most broad album “Uzzīmē mani” (Draw me). They decided to delight their listeners with two important events – the tour dedicated to love and concerts in 8 cities of Latvia.
The leader of the band „Otras puses” Normunds Pauniņš says that the band has wished to perform their most beautiful songs in front of a larger audience. “This will happen – we will resound the spring with the program dedicated to lovers and romantics, otherwise what would we be in our life without a love? We prepare with a great responsibility as we want to provide to our listeners the highest quality enjoyment.” Pauninš emphasizes.
The sound of the band and velvety voice timbre of Normunds Pauniņš will be complemented with a special guest artist – Antra Stafecka. Her musical biography has participations in LNT TV show “Okarte Stage” and cooperation with Raimonds Pauls, Guntars Račs, Igo, Uldis Marhilēvčs and other artists. The hit of the band “Uzzīmē mani”, recorded in duo with Antra Stafecka, has become one of the most favorite and the most played songs on the radio. “I am so happy to work with such a cool and talented people! This is the way I can learn a lot from them as well as enjoy the process itself. Music is my life and Otra Puse is exactly the music for a soul!” says Antra about her participation in the concert tour.
An intimate sound of the songs is created by the accompaniment of the piano, percussion, and acoustic guitar, where the vocal of Normunds Pauniņš is enriched by the skill of the keyboard play by Ivars Makstnieks, the play off the guitar by Jānis Čubars and percussion by Mārtiņš Linde. There is an electronic and modern sound created for multiple older songs of the band.
During the concerts the most popular hits “Vēstules”, „Ieskaties”, „Nakts vai Rīts”, „Dievs dod”, “Ave Pali”, „Pēc lietus” was played as well as complimenting with compositions less known to a larger audience.
Aigars Grāvers and Aigars Krēsla founded music band „Otra Puse” in 1992. Now the band is formed by Normunds Pauniņš (vocal, acoustic guitar), Ivars Makstnieks (synthesizer, piano), Jānis Čubars (guitars) un Mārtiņš Linde (drum, percussion).
