The solemn resound concert of the new digital organ „Johannus Ecclesia”, with the performance of an outstanding organist Iveta Apkalna and the presence of the Premier Minister of Republic of Latvia Laimdota Straujuma, was held on April 15, in the Big Hall of the Embassy of Latgale GORS. The world-level concert hall has now obtained the world-level instrument – during the evening, the conclusion like this was expressed for a couple of times. Digital organ now can be played in Rezekne, in gratitude to the fervor of I. Apkalna and the support of JSC "Latvijas Valsts Mezi”, State Culture Capital Foundation and Rezekne City Council.
In the evening of April 15, the Embassy of Latgale GORS, Rezekne, Latgale and Latvia received a new treasure, which brings the level of the regional and national culture life in a brand new level. The new digital organ „Johannus Ecclesia” was resounded with the play of virtuoso organist Iveta Apkalna, participation of State Chamber Orchestra „Sinfonietta Rīga” and conductor Normunds Šnē, mixed choir of Rezekne Jānis Ivanovs Music School and conductor Anda Lipska. The Masters of the Ceremony – music journalist Orests Silabriedis and the Head of the Embassy of Latgale GORS Diāna Zirniņa.
