With a concert of symphonic orchestra of Rezekne Jānis Ivanovs Music School and the Embassy of Latgale GORS in the Pentecost, in May 19, 2013, the series of the first newbuilt regional concert hall in Latvia opening events were began.
During the opening celebration of the Embassy of Latgale GORS, in May 19, the grand pianos "Steinway&Sons", that were brought from Hamburg, were played for the very first time. The concert attendants had an opportunity to enjoy the performance of the symphonic orchestra of Rezekne Jānis Ivanovs Music School and the Embassy of Latgale GORS with the conductor Jānis Stafeckis at the podium.
Symbolically, the celebration of the Embassy of Latgale GORS was held on the Pentecost – during the time when the nature and humans regenerate. Even more symbolic were the people that resounded this venue – Latgalians themselves. Some important guests and friends of the Embassy of Latgale GORS attended the celebration as well, including the architects and the builders of the concert hall, representatives of the dominations, and the Minister Culture Žaneta Jaunzeme-Grende.
