The cord of the pianist Reinis Zarins’ concert is “Octagon” – the new creation of Andis Dzenitis and its world premiere. Dzenītis himself describes the eight parts of the cycle as a cathedral - one that has been overgrown with little rooms. Similar words have been used to describe the last part of the concert program – six parts of Second Partita by Bach, enlaced with the monumental and exalted Sonata in B Minor by Liszt.
