On 26th August, 2017, on the Big stage of the Embassy of Latgale GORS performed bagpipe and drum music group “Auļi” and ethno music ensemble “Tautumeitas” who have gathered in a joint project in order to create a unique and splendid musical program “Let the Sister Adorn!”. Seventeen musicians was taking the stage, playing and singing through the important wedding and marriage episodes of the human life. There is no surprise, the collaboration of the music group “Auļi” and „Tautumeitas” is related to the wedding theme. The powerful sound of the bagpipes and drums by “Auļi” quite clearly represents the manly element, however, „Tautumeitas” (event the name of the ensemble (“The Maidens”) presents the wedding element – marring into another family), with significantly more gentle, but still strong polyphony sounding, represents the feminine part of the collaboration.
