In 2016 Moscow chamber ensemble, a group of an outstanding musicians “Classics-Art Ensemble” performed at the Embassy of Latgale GORS for the second time. The musicians performed an ethereal holiday program “Musicians Do Not Joke” (Музыканты не шутят), based on many jokes, as well as colorful and bright music. The finishing of the program presented some well-known jazz melodies, as well as numerous musical surprises. The ensemble was performing in it’s full set.
Concert program includes compositions by Johann Christian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Felix Mendelssohn, Jan Franse, Malcolm Arnold, and other composers.

Group of musicians “Classics-Art Ensemble” has been founded in 2002, joining the highest-level musicians and members of the outstanding Russian ensembles. “Classics-Art Ensemble” has performed in numerous festivals, received prizes in different competitions, gone on tours in Russia, as well as abroad, performing with approximately 70-80 concerts. Ensemble has released three chamber music albums.
Alongside the classical music, “Classics-Art Ensemble” performs the original melodies of the nowadays. Ensemble appreciates the interactivity – the conversation with the audience, stories about the music instruments played, and the music itself, emphasizing the role of each performance representing the story of the concert.
