In the Easter Concert in 2016 “Vysi zīdi pļaveņā”, Igauņi family resounded the melodies of their new music album “Vysi zīdi pļaveņā”, including 17 Latgalian folk song arrangements and Latvian popular songs. The concert was enriched by the performance of Gaigalava Elementary School Children Folklore Ensemble "Purineņš".
Igauņi family ensample is formed by five musicians of two generations: Rasma and Gunārs Igauņi, as well as their daughters Laima, Marta, and Liene. They all have been performing together for a long time already, giving a great input in the process of popularizing the Latgalian music, conservation of the tradition, as well as recording and performing traditional melodies. Almost all members of the family are actively involved in the music industry, still developing their musical education.
